RESILIENCE

Resilience - A term that doesn't mean much to most of us, but which is very important as it protects what we have built and achieved. In essence, resilience means that something has a well-functioning  ability to bounce back from a negative incidence.

This means that it functions as a kind of safety net that secure the existence of services and systems beyond the point of distress. I mean, you wouldn't step onto a rope in dizzying heights without a safety net, right? Why are we doing so with the heights we have reached in our cities and communities?

By creating not only buildings, but even more importantly communities that are developed with resilience in mind we can help to make beneficial innovations and technology last and continue to provide us with the needed services.

In our resources below, you will find how people are implementing the thought of resilience into their lives and jobs by preparing for disasters not only on a natural level but also on a human level!
