It is crucial that government and law enforcement work with people rather than against them in order to handle a stressful situation such as had been brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As we could see, the governments did their jobs in providing assistance for their citizens and ensuring the safety of both the people abroad and within the country. While a complete border closing is a drastic measure, with the goal of keeping the peace in the country and limiting the effects of the pandemic on government processes, it seemed to have been the right decision overall.
